Courses for individuals (online or in-person in Bristol):
Half day courses: Online £100 (+VAT). In-person £120 (+VAT)
Short day courses: Online £130 (+VAT). In-person £150 (+VAT)
One day courses: Online £160 (+VAT). In-person £180 (+VAT)
Two day courses: Online £260 (+VAT). In-person £280 (+VAT)

Costs include refreshments, training packs and certificates of attendance.
Mental Health First Aid courses include handbooks and certification from Mental Health First Aid England.

Payments can be made by card online at the point of booking.
Payments can also be made later by BACS transfer. An invoice payable within 30 days, will be emailed, addressed as specified.

Please make sure you include the correct invoicing instructions in your booking, a Purchase Order Number if applicable, and that any necessary organisation approval is gained at the time of booking.

The organisation has grown from a base in the community and voluntary sector. Much of our training is delivered in the VCSE sector and we understand that funding for training is often tight. We aim to charge a fair price for our services without compromising on quality.
Concessionary places, for small organisations or individuals paying for themselves, and group rates are available on each course. Please contact us for details.

Courses for individuals (online or in-person in Bristol):
Transfer terms:
- Bookings can be transferred up to 21 days before the course, subject to an administrative fee of £40 (+ VAT).
Cancellation terms:
- Cancellations received more than 21 days before the course are subject to an administrative fee of £40 (+ VAT).
- No refund will be made for cancellations received after this date.
- No refunds are available for course fees of £30 + VAT or less.
- Transfers, cancellations and any other changes to bookings must be confirmed in writing.
Courses for teams:
Cancellation more than 3 weeks before the date of delivery - a charge will be made proportional to the amount of work already undertaken by The Training Exchange.
Cancellation less than 3 weeks before the date of delivery of the first training session, will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the agreed fees.
Cancellation less than 48 hours before the date of delivery of the first training session, will incur a cancellation charge of the full agreed fees.
Exceptional circumstances: If the training is cancelled or affected due to exceptional circumstances, we will assess each situation on an individual basis. If face-to-face delivery is not possible, we will deliver the course online on the same dates. If this is not feasible, e.g. if some or all course content does not translate to online delivery, we will seek to come to a mutually acceptable arrangement between the trainer, the organiser and The Training Exchange. This may incur additional development/delivery fees.
We'll send you confirmation of your booking by email once you have completed our booking process.
Contact us and we can check that we have received your booking. During busy periods it may take us a few days to process a booking.
If you can’t attend a course, but have a colleague who can attend in your place we are happy to make this change at any point up to the day before the training.

Courses for individuals (in-person in Bristol):
Where possible we use accessible community venues as part of our commitment to supporting local projects.
Directions and transport information are sent by email when we confirm your booking, and again one-two weeks before the course.
Courses start at 9:30am and end by 4:30pm (1.00pm for half days; 2.45pm for short days).
Arrivals and registration are at 9.15am.
Training for teams (in-person)
We ask organisations to provide a suitable venue, and any refreshments. If you cannot get in contact with your local organiser on the day, contact us and we will always try to help.
Online courses are mostly delivered over zoom. Check your emails for joining instructions.
Trainers will ask you to complete an evaluation form at the end of training. We use this information to review and develop our courses, to feedback to organisers and funders, and to share participant experiences with other people who are interested in attending courses.

Mental Health First Aid courses are certificated by Mental Health First Aid England.
Certificates are valid for 3 years.
ASIST (Applied Suicide intervention Skills) training is certificated by LivingWorks, Canada.
The Training Exchange is a CPD accredited training provider. Some additional courses have been assessed and accredited by the CPD Certification Service. Where you see the CPD quality mark, these courses will have been benchmarked against a set of recognised quality standards. We are working towards accreditation of further courses year on year.
Yes, all participants receive certificates of attendance.
For courses for individuals (in-person in Bristol and online), as part of the booking process we will ask you if you have any access needs or requirements we need to know about. If you forget to tell us or your requirements change, please contact us to let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to meet your needs, or be honest with you if we can’t.
